Why Varanasi called place of peace and devotion city

I have traveled a lot of holy places, but the holiest of all of them, I found was Varanasi or Banaras or Kashi or dev Nagri or city of ghats. The city’s famous for so many things like ghats, temples and for being the home of Kasi Naresh or being the worlds 7th most sacred place in the world and one of the oldest inhabited city and it goes on. The introduction won’t ever end so soon.

The city has almost 200 hundred ghats. This is why we called THE CITY OF GHATS.
Things that you have to add in your cheek list when you visiting CITY OF GHATS —
1-Rowing boat rides during the dawn are perhaps one of the best things to do in Varanasi. The ride along Ganges River offers the quintessential Varanasi experience. It takes one through different Ghats and former palaces situated close to the banks of Ganges, giving a panoramic view of this River and the region.

After taking boat rides you will feel hungry.
2- melt in the sweetness of Kashi Nagri. Have some ras malai, jalebi, Imarti, laddoo, balu sahi. Do not to forget the snacks like samosas and kachoris that make a part of their breakfast. in the last but not the lest must eat The Banarasi Paan.

3- Take a holy bath in river GANGA. This is the major thing to do in The city of ghats. When you take a deep in the holy water here will offer salvation of sins and purification of the soul. The religious texts of Hinduism said that.

4- Explore the Tempels of dev Nagri. Your visit will be in compile without visiting their temples. There is one on almost every road and road crossing in Varanasi. The temples are associated with Hindu history and mythology. The most popular temple here is the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Also called the Golden Temple, this place of interest was built in 1780 by Queen Ahilyabai Holker of Indore.
