A Belgian couple is traveling the world in the nude.
LET’S be honest, none of us really like looking at other people’s travel photos. But this couple’s clicks are taking the internet by storm.
Nick and Lins are just an ordinary couple in their 30s from Belgium who are traveling to the far
corners of the world together. However, they are doing it in the nude and people are loving it.
All through their travels, they have gone by Croatia, Greece, the Balkans, Italy, and Brazil where they’ve found the spots where they can enjoy the sights in their birthday suits.
The couple says they began archiving their trip on social media with their humorous, deliberately postured photographs — and through their blog to promote naturism.
“We started our blog about nine months before we hit the road,” they told
“The main reason was to show people that naturism is something for everyone, not just for a bunch of old hippies or perverts. We noticed that most of the available online info was either completely outdated or very patronizing or with a huge list of stupid rules.”
In any case, the most relatable things about the couple are that they fell into naturism coincidentally. In the wake of accepting a coupon for a birthday, the couple cashed it in at a public sauna, not realizing there were “no swimsuits allowed”. They chose to attempt it and were shocked by the amount they loved it.
“The liberation of taking off our clothes was extraordinary, it was pure freedom,” the couple wrote on their blog.
They eventually took the plunge into full-on nudism when they visited a crowded campsite in Luxembourg.“It was loud,
full of people, and not really what we were looking for,” they added.
“At the back of the camp, we noticed a naturist part which was all peace and quiet so we decided to try that out. And since then we’re completely sold to naturism.”
Surprisingly, the couple says their naturist ways have been accepted for the most part, except for Albania where public nudity is still frowned upon and an unpleasant encounter with a woman in Greece, a country with very few official nude beaches. But that is something the couple hopes they can change by sharing their journey.
“Our main objective is to take naturism out of the shadows and to make nudity less sexualized and more accepted — and to show people that it’s actually a fun thing to do and that a human body is nothing to be ashamed of.”
